Party Party Party

Yesterday our family hosted a memorial day party. We decorated the backyard with hawaiian decorations. We all got to where very colorful hawaiian lays. The lay looked fantastic on me (koda's looked good too, but of course I looked much cooler), and I was was tortured with having to pose for hundreds of pictures for mom to put in our puppy book. We had so much food, and thanks to all of our guests I went to bed with a full stomach. It doesn't get any better than this...I better go get mom, so we can go walk off all the food from last night, see ya around!

Dakota's Jealous

Today we went to the beach and I met a really nice minature schnauzer there. Dad threw the ball and out of no where this little schnauzer zooms past Dakota and I and grabbed the ball. We didn't even see him coming. He was so fast and I couldn't help but chase him. I hardly ever run but I sure did run after him. We were having so much fun, and then Dakota got jealous. Everytime I would run after my new friend she would start growling at me and bite my collar so I couldn't run after my friend. She is so mean sometimes. I never get mad when she plays with other dogs. We get to play together everyday, but me and my new friend might never see each other again. Oh well, I guess I should just be glad that I got to play for a little while. Okay well I am off to bed, I am exhausted!

30 min car ride, no leash, sand, seaweed,millions of- dogs....is this heaven?

Lets see... First we get to go on a nice long car ride. Then its runnin' in the sand for hours. I get to sniff seaweed and rocks. I can run as fast and as far as I want (however i usually just walk and I never get further than a few yards from my humans). Plus there are hundreds of dogs! Big dogs, little dogs, old dogs, puppies, and even dogs that look just like me! Its so much fun to meet new friends. Everyone gets along and everybody shares their toys. Oh yeah and birds to chase and waves to run from. I asked my family if this is heaven, but they said no it's the beach!!! Whatever this place is, I love it, and we plan to go every saturday!!!!

Happy Adoption Day to Me!

Today is my second Adoption Day! It seems just like yesterday Dad was filling out our adoption papers at the rescue and we were getting ready to go to our new home. The car ride home seemed to take forever, even though Koda and I slept most the way. Then after the two hour car ride home, we finally got to meet our new mom. she told us how cute we were, and she showed us around the house and the back yard that was now ours! Then we got a whole bunch of toys ( which we only liked three... a rope, a plush squeaky ball, and a tennis ball) And now two years later we have made this new home ours and settled in very well. My human sister was going to give us a horrible adoption present today, a bath, but luckily it rained and so we will have to wait, ha! Well its off to get so kisses from my family, woof!

Puppy!!!

Well today i woke up to the best surprise ever, a puppy!!! He's not a new member of my family, he was just visiting. I love new friends but he was very boring. He just sat there and didn't even want to play. I thought maybe he was afraid of me since I was so much bigger than him, so I just layed down next to him, to give him a chance to get comfortable with him. But he never wanted to play the whole time, i was so sad he totally wasted a good play date. I wish he was more like my friend Kitson, she has tons of energy and even though i am like 5 times bigger than her, she is not scared of me, and we can play for hours. The only bad thing is Kitson doesn't get baths very often so mom doesn't like her to come over because she maked the whole house stink. Anyways, have a great veterans day, and for all you veterans out there thanks so much, you are all heroes!!!!

No More Bugs!

Well we got our house tented and so now no more creepy crawlers! I am kinda sad though because those creepy crawlers were fun to play with. Oh well, mom hated them, so we got rid of them. We got to go to the mountains while we were tenting. We got to go hiking and Dakota went swimming. It was a lot of fun, too bad we were only there for two days. Oh well there is always next summer. Back to the Mountains

Mom and Dad have to get our house tented to kill the termites that like to eat our house, but you can't stay in your house while they tent it. Mom and Dad didn't know what to do. They didn't want to keep us cooped up in a little motel for two days, so they decided to go back to the mountains. So they got another cabin in big bear and in two weeks its back to the mountains. I had so much fun last time, I can't wait to go this time. Well talk to you guys later.

Home again!

Hey guys, well I just got back from our vacation to big bear, ca. Boy did I have fun....I was busy, but i had fun. The first day we just took a few short walks around the neighborhood our cabin was in. Then our second day we woke up early and headed for the lake. The lake was okay but I didn't like it as much as koda, she just loved swimming. I just liked going in up to my shoulders and no further. It was still nice to cool off from the walk to the lake though. Later that evening mom and my human sister took Dakota and I down to the village which is like a little shopping area for tourist. We had fun looking in all the shops, then we walked up the streets around the area and looked at all the other cabins. On our third day we went to the discovery center to get a parking permit for the hiking trails and maps of the trails. Guess what? Dogs were allowed in the discovery center. The staff was sooo nice and even gave us treats. We even met a nice man and his wife who had a dog that look exactly like Koda. Then it was time to hit the trails. It was so much fun and we even saw two other dogs on the trail. It was very nice to have a little canine companionship since we had been away from the dog park for 3 days. The best part of the hikes were the lizards. They are so cool and so quick, I tried to catch 'em but they were just too fast. Then today we woke up, packed up, and headed back to home sweet home. I sure did have a fun time but it's nice to be back at my own house again. Well time to take a nice long nap ( i am all worn out from all that excitement). Bye!

Going on a trip

Tomorrow my family and I are leaving to go on a trip. We are renting a cabin in the mountains. There is a lake and hiking trails. We might even get to rent a boat, dad says not to get our hopes too high for that though. Mom and Dad bought Dakota and I all new toys and treats. I can't wait. We will be back Thursday so it's not that long. Mom says if we do okay on this trip maybe we can go on a longer one next summer. Have fun everyone, I know i will.

My first sleep over

Last night was my very first sleep over. My friend Kitson got to spend the night with Dakota and I. She came over at about 6 o'clock and stayed all night and then went home at about 8:30 this morning. We got to play all night and all morning. We didn't go to bed until 2:00 in the morning and we woke up at about 5 o'clock this morning. We would play then sleep a little then play then sleep. My family was woried that kitson would have an accident in the house but she didn't! I hope this means she can stay over again some time. I had so much fun!
