i went to doggy daycare!!!

wow - mom took me in the car pretty early on friday morning. She said it was my special day to go to doggy day care.
Daisy didnt go cause mom said she would probably be happier home alone but i did!!!

there was a black lab, some poodles and some schnauzers to play with. they took my collar off and i played without it inside and outside all day.

when dad came to pick me up, I laid down on the floor by him feet - whew.

anyway they took me home and laughed cause I went into my crate to nap before 5:00 p.m.

cant wait to go back!!!!! 2 fridays a month to start.

p.s. - they said I was very good and welcome to come back anytime. I dont always get that response from people!!!!!!

oh my god, they got another dog

well, it happened. They got another dog. they took me with them thinking we were going somewhere good and they were so happy and talking and mom was so excited and then somehow we ended up leaving and mom was holding another dog.

They named her Daisy. she's okay I guess. she dosent play and cant beg or do any tricks so i'm not really sure why they think she is so great.

She cant get on the bed by herself and when they brought her in my house she peed on the floor. come on.

anyway ~ she's grown on me and I like her ( a little). I still get fed first, treats first and a little extra love so I guess it will be okay.

she's kinda cute (for a girl) and now she pees outside (thank god, that was just dumb).

more to come... off to take a nap w/the people now.

hows your summer going?

well mine has been pretty good. its pretty wam here so I keep cool by laying on the wood floors and infront of the airconditioning vents. Also by eating ice cubes.

My people dont make me sleep in my crate overnight anymore!!! they let me sleep in bed w/them or roam around upstairs. They wanted me to be housebroken and most of the time I am so I have a little more freedom now. Its pretty cool.

most nights I end up back in my crate though cause I like it there!!

anyway ~ have a nice evening, i'm very busy here!!!!

Happy Memorial Day!!!

wow ~ I went to a cook-out this weekend and there were 5 other dogs there!!! I got to do lots of sniffing and ate some steak and lots of other people food. I was so full I never even ate my puppy food.

I got to run around off the leash in a big yard with Georgie (she's my grandma's dog) and a toy poodle and 3 shelties. They were nice!!

Also, my people took me to the park twice this weekend... wow, I slept all day today when they went back to work ..

my first real haircut!!!

yesterday I went to the vet's to get my first real grooming! I got my nails clipped, a bath and a hair cut.

Mom and Dad said I look soooooooo adorable and they can see my eyes for the first time. I am very white and fluffy and so soft... and they were surprised when I had a bandana around my neck when I came home.

I went with Georgie who is my grandma's dog. We had lots of fun...

Mom kept kissing me and saying how adorable I looked.

It was a fun day!!!!

Monday monday

well it was a pretty good weekend... went to a baseball game followed by a trip to the pet store...lots and lots of cats there, kittens of all shapes and sizes. Mommy took a kitten up to the register but dad said no (thank god), what was mom thinking????

I got a huge bone filled with granola and cinnamon. I mean huge. I can barely carry it to the window (my favorite spot on the steps). Also we got some cows tails and some other yummy stuff.

Its been raining all day so I've only been out twice today. oh well, all and all a pretty good day.

Tomorrow they are dropping me off for a bath, a nail trim and a hair cut at the vet?!!?!?!?!?? hope that works out okay. Good thing I dont know what they are talking about right?

p.s. ~ mom is planning a birthday party for me??? in november.

what a great day!!!

my mom got an e-mail from Dogster today and lots of people are reading my diary!! i'm very excited. I slept late today and have chewed up a few crayons but otherwise its been a pretty lazy day. I'm going to a baseball game in a few hours and then to the pet store to get some more things to chew on. I love to chew and mom loves to buy me stuff so it should work out fine!!!

There are quite a few cats in the pet store in our neighborhood .... I dont like cats..hopefully they wont mess with me.

well, gotta go back to my perch and look out the window some more. Mom says I'm sorta like a cat but trust me... i'm all dog!!!

busy weekend!!!

all and all it was a pretty good weekend!! I went for lots of walks and helped mommy clean the house.

Mom bought a mr clean magic eraser so she could clean the bathtub but while she was cleaning, I jumped up, grabbed it and ran!!!

she turned around to get it and found me in the next room. I had made it into lots of tiny magic erasers for her!! I thought she would be happy but she was just a little mad. oh well. I didnt eat any of it just helped her have more of them!!!

I barked this weekend for the 2nd or third time. I have a new favorite spot on the landing of the steps where I can look out the window and say "bark" when I hear another dog. There sure are a lot of them in this neighborhood.

No car rides this weekend but I spent lots of time outside!! Its fun to be with mom and dad...
p.s. ~ I got to taste crabs on Sat night ~ yum.
just a taste though.

New Friend!!

guess what? I met a Cairn Terrier who lives across the street. Her name is Daisy!! Mom said she can come over for a play date sometime... yippee.

I ate something that didnt agree w/me so I have been a little under the weather but I am starting to feel better now.

Weekend

well, I finally figured out how to go down the steps!!! Now I can go up and down by myself w/o them carrying me!!!

I have been very busy going up and down!! and up and down and up and down. man, they have a lot of steps here.

It rained all day Saturday so I stayed in the house most of the day. I also learned to jump up onto the couch. now my favorite places are the couch and the ottoman...

Yesterday they took me to petsmart and bought me some more stuff!!!! I loved seeing all of the other dogs and I was such a good boy I got lots of treats.

Mom and dad are talking about getting a second dog for me to play with but I have to be house broken first... i'm trying, I just get so excited.
