Arrival Story:
Perry was a pup of Rheastat and left our home for a while with Archie to live with another family. When we took them back, he was very scrawny and shaky (Archie had probably eaten most of his food and left him malnurished and the family didn't have enough time to give them their proper attention) and named "Buddy." Dad renamed him (because he didn't seem to know his name very well and the previous owners didn't register him).
Bio:
Perry is a lover not a fighter. He would generally rather cuddle with you on the couch and get petted than run with the other dogs when they go outside to bark. He has had some dramatic weight gains and loses since coming here (when he finally got to a home where he could eat...he did a lot, in recent years he got sick and lost a lot of weight). Since he doesn't excercise and isn't competative, he's a little weak and needs to be helped onto the couch and guarded while eating (so the other dogs don't steal his food). He's a very sweet dog and has been getting stronger every day lately.
On August 29, 2006 Perry died. Over the past several months he had been getting weaker again and was eating less. He died in one of his favorite activities...snuggling in a blanket. He will be missed.
