Bodacious is at the Rainbow Bridge

Goodbye my sweet baby Bo. :( 1-28-06

To my Bodacious Blue :
It seems like only yesterday I rescued you from a terrible situation . You were untrusting of any human and were scared of other dogs . You weighed only 60 pounds and had wounds all over you from being used as
fight bait :( You were kept in a small outdoor pen and the only so called "toy " you had was a car tire hanging from the top of the cage. You were so mean you would attack that tire everytime someone would walk past your kennel . It took me two weeks to gain your trust . But once I did you were a totally different dog.

I brought you home with me and you amazed me by your actions . You were 4 years old . You had never been in a house but somehow you knew how to go outside to potty . You were very smart and learned commands within the first couple weeks. We introduced you to cats and other dogs and let you know they were friends and you accepted them.

Bo I still remember the very first day we brought Baby Richard home from the hospital. You were 8 years old . You were so protective over him and would sleep by his bassinet every night. I remember when you peed on his diaper genie, you knew you did wrong and never did it again . You would lay your head softly on his carseat and just look at him trying to figure out what he was. Baby Richard is now almost 5 years old. You stayed by his side and were his buddy. You were also there when we brought home baby Caiden. He loved you right away and would follow you everywhere. He would lay next to you and yell for you when you were upstairs. He always wanted to load you up with treats and you knew when it was time to eat dinner to come sit by his high chair and he would sneak you some goodies.

You loved it when we would go 4-wheeling and camping for the weekend. You would ride on the back of my 4-wheeler and run through those fields with me and we were free. I still remember that time at the lake where you went in the water after I jumped in , you were making sure I was okay.

I have so many wonderful memories of you Bo and I miss you so much . You were my inspiration to start Vom Blue Rottweiler Rescue because you showed more love than any I have ever seen. You mean the world to me baby boy and I will never ever forget you . I woke up this morning and you weren't there and I was lost . I know we did the right thing and you are at the bridge waiting for me to get there. I just keep thinking about all those good times we had together and how you showed everyone how wonderful Rottweilers are . Everyone is so sad to hear you are gone but you will never ever be forgotten . You touched so many people with your love and kindness.

You were sent to the bridge on January 28th 2006 at 9:00 a.m. I will never forget that. You had a very large tumor in your stomach that the doctor feels was cancer and had spread to your brain causing you sudden seizures. You also went into kindey failure :( Bo I would have done everything I could to save you, but there was nothing more I could do but say goodbye and let you go peacefully. You were 12 years old and had lived a long life. We miss you soooooo much and I will see you again one day baby boy. I know you are running free now like a little pup and having so much fun. I had you creamated and I will keep half of your ashes here with me with your clay pawprint and your lock of hair. The other half will be spread in Lynnville, IN were we had so much fun together . Your in my thoughts every second of the day and no other dog will ever be able to replace the hole that has been left in my heart.
