Likes: Sleeping nestled deep in-between two layers of covers..she would sleep 15 hours if you let her. Sitting on her Daddies shoulder like a parrot and giving him kisses. Putting her neck on you mouth while you hum. Playing with her Brother and Sister.
Pet-Peeves: Any dogs that aren't in her immediate family!
Favorite Toy: Her little Squirrel and flat chewies
Favorite Food: She really loves Greenies and Baby Food. But mainly just her straight dry dog food.
Favorite Walk: She really isn't much of a walker...she would prefer to lay in the sun on the deck. When she does walk though she doesn't need a leash...she's the only dog in the neighborhood that I can say that about.
Best Tricks: She can walk on her back legs and dace around for a long time
Arrival Story: Mia was formerly named Selena (the name that we do not speak of). She was with an elderly lady that passed away when she was 7 months old. Her daughter had several children and no love for dogs!!! She wanted to sell her. The first time that I met Mia she was sitting in a cold metal cage without even a blanket. I knew right then that if I had to sell my blood I was going to get her out of that environment. At the time I was single with a Yorkie as my only child. He welcomed Mia into our home with open arms...but things weren't complete..and Mia was still only half the dog that I knew she should be. I was lucky enough to meet my husband two months after getting her. I was worried that he would think of my dogs as a nuisance, being mainly used to hunting dogs. To my great joy, he took to them like he had been their Dad since they were puppies!!!!! He brought out Mia's true spirit and now we are all one big happy family. Mia is lucky enough to have an older brother, Dusty (a Yorkie).....and a younger Sister, Emma (the spunkiest Chihuahua that I have ever seen in my life). We are so greatful to have her. She makes everyday brighter than it would be without her in it.
