Whatever squeaks, mainly whatever Fleet wants to play with.

doesn't really care. Will literally eat anything, like pens, paper, lipstick, poop. She's pretty gross.

Favorite Walk:
We have a fenced in backyard. Perfect for an ex-racing greyhound

Best Tricks:
jumping on anything! racing around like a crazy dog! I think she used to be a bunny or a deer in a past life!

Arrival Story:
After about 6 months of just having one dog, my husband and I decided that Fleet needed a brother or a sister. So, on we trucked back to Greysland to pick out our second greyhound. We heard that Trixie had been brought back from a foster home, due to the other dog not liking her. We remembered her from when we got Fleet back in August. She has just been brought in due to an injury. So, we took her out for a walk that day with Fleet in tow, and she immediately took a liking to us. My husband and I are pretty sappy when it comes to the dogs, so we fell in love with her immediately, and took her home that instant. Let me just tell you that we almost didn't make is through our first night with her. We were told by the owner of Greysland that she would chew anything left on or near her crate, so to watch out. When we brought her home, she was at home almost instantly, jumping up on the couch and just lounging. We thought that was great. Everything was fine until we went to bed that night. She freaked! Whined at the gate for hours. When we finally went to see her, she had dragged her blanket into the kitchen, as well as peed all over the floor. We decided the best way to calm her down would be to crate her... Heh. Big mistake! She whined and howled all night. At about 2 in the morning, we went to check on her. Not only had she managed to get out of her crate, (through the back, mind you. It was still locked from the front!) but she had managed to pull the curtains into the crate and destroy them. The rug around her crate was also torn to shreds. I couldn't believe she had done that. Fleet had been the angel of perfection when we brought him home. Trixie was Damian incarnate!!! Needless to say, we didn't return her, and several night passed before she finally learned to sleep in the living room with Fleet, while we went to bed. Guess she learned sleeping on the couch wasn't too bad after all.

Trixie's full name is Texlan Trixie. Her father is Rancho Fulopep and her mother is Rancho Big Job. She was born in Texas and raced in Belmont, New Hampshire. She is fawn colored with dark brown stripes. She was retired because she broke all her toes on one side of her body, and has since had to have one of her front toes removed.

This weekend was so much fun. Fleet and I got together with 50 other Greyhounds and went for a walk around Horn Pond in Woburn. When we came down to a little beach by the lake, I saw this large, shining patch of ground, and when I walked into it, I found out it was water! I was so hot that I just walked right in and plopped right down into it. I've never sat in a pond before, and the only other times I've ever gotten wet were when I had to get baths for being a stinky girl! It was fun in the pond! I hope I get to do it again real soon!

But I thought it was food!!!

Mmmmm... Band-aids are goooooood! And Neosporin. And dryer sheets! And the mail! Ooh, ooh, and blue pens! I love ink! Oh, and VCR tape covers. Those are good, too!

But I like how it smells.....

My parents are so silly. They think that when I come in the house and I smell like poop, that I accidentally rolled in it. Silly people. They should know by now that if I smell like poop, then I rolled in it on purpose... And then they had to give me a bath. Well, a half bath, really. So silly. Don't they know I'll do it again once I'm clean? Parents never learn!
