Arrival Story:
My wife and I were looking to adopt a Lab, but not until the spring of 2005. As I was looking at Petfinder.com one day I came across Bella and her sibblings pitures. I started to email to find out more about her and I was told that there were two other couples who were interested in adopting her. We put in an application for adoption and waited to hear if we were approved. As the adoption day got closer the other two couples decided to adopt other puppies so we eventually were first on the list to adopt Bella. The day of adoption we drove 3 hours to pick up our little 8 week old puppy and it was worth every minute of the ride. When we arrived there must have been 30 couples looking to adopt Bella and her brothers and sisters. I guess 10 of those couples were in line for Bella. I guess the couples were hoping that nobody would show up and they would get to go home with a new puppy. The adoption was set on a first come first approved (with the application for adoption) deal. To make a long story short we decided to get our puppy in the middle of winter instead of waiting till the spring.
