Arrival Story:
I was voting in the prez election of 2004 at the local library when I spotted a very handsome lab lying there calmly at the entrance. I thought he belonged to someone since he was so well-behaved, but discovered that he was a stray that library workers had been taking care of for a few days. I went home and decided to try to find him a home, but by the time I called the library back, they had already called the County Shelter to come pick him up. So, we went and 'adopted' him to save his life and were going to foster him until a nice family came along. Well, long story short -- that nice family was us! Dogen officially became dog number five after a few months!
Bio:
I am the sweetest big boy you will ever meet. I was named after a Zen master, and I have mastered the art of Lazen. (laying down meditation -- lazing around) My name means 'the source of the way' -- pretty cool, except i have no idea what that means!!! ;)
