it's getting cold
days are grey
squirrels getting ready for something
scurry with your bushy tails
up and down the ash tree
branch to branch
i call to you
you freeze
over to the maple
up toward the sky
chasing each other
i want to play too
come back

This is so weird.
The leaves are on the ground and they are red yellow and brown.
There are these brown animals with long fuzzy tails.
They drive me CRAZY!
They come into MY yard, onto MY grass and climb up MY trees.
Then all I can do is bark at them.
They make noises back.
I want to catch one.

The red one visits every day now.
There are people working on his family's house.
Everytime they hammer, he barks.
Bang. Bark.
Then we play tug.
Then I try to hump him, but he keeps moving.
Then we play tug more.
He's my best buddy.
