Arrival Story:
This poor guy was turned into the city pound by his apartment dwelling family. After three years, they noticed he was too large!

Bio:
Jack is an ambassador for rescue - he loves everyone, and has made appearances at the home show and the Renassaince Festival. He was also featured on stage at the Lyric Opera in Kansas City, as "the dog" if Of Mice & Men. We think Jack must have gotten into the trash overnite & eaten some bad potatoes I'd thrown away. He bloated & died before we could even get him to the vet. I'm committed to developing a stretcher/device to get big dogs into the car. I don't think it would have been in time, but I had to call my husband to come home from work because at 110 pounds I couldn't get him into my suv by myself.
