Docker left us on 12/06/10. She started failing about a month before. We knew she had kidney failure. She was diagnosed with kidney failure two years ago. For the last two years she did really well with Science KD dog food. The she stopped eating it. We tried many recipes on the web, with little success. Finally, about three weeks ago we took her to the vet for a kidney function test and the results were very bad. On 12/05 she quit eating and drinking entirely. The end of this disease is terrible and we couldn't let her suffer. We made the hardest decesion we ever had to make-all three of us agreed to take her in on Monday 12/06. Docker was the best dog ever. She definitely had a soul. She loved all three of us and showed it every day. We will never forget her.

Today mom and dad took me for a forty-five minute walk. It is still cool in the morning, so i really enjoyed the walk. Later it will be to warm for anything but a very short walk.

Yesterday I had a bath and saturday I will get shaved for the summer. I dread this but I know it will make me feel better.

During Christmas I found out I have kidney disease. I now can only eat special food. Luckily, I have regained all of the weight that I had lost, and my energy level.

Well, I need a nap now, so talk to you later.

Almost Christmas

Mom and Dad have decorated the house and there are lots of boxes piled on the floor. I hope they havent forgotten about me. We have had ice and snow recently, but Mom and Dad have still taken me for walks every day. I am one lucky dog.
