It's been a while!

Mom's determined to finish at LEAST my CDX by the end of the summer so I told her she'd better get started on showing me then. I made my obedience debut at LOL this January. We showed in Novice on Sunday and NQ'd but it wasn't my fault at all. So, now she's entered me in a trial in May so we can get that first leg.

Mom's goals for this year with me are:

I hope that means we get to play a LOT this summer! I LOVE showing with mom! And it helps that I'm already trained to those levels, mom just needs to get out and SHOW with me!

extracted teeth... OUCH!

Well, I chipped a tooth three days ago and today the vet extracted it because I chipped it down to the pulp and it was exposed. Mom is really worried about me because the stitches look nasty! BUT, she promises it is better than getting an infection and apparently I have BAD teeth anyways... the tooth I chipped was ROTTED they found out. I don't eat sugary foods or treats and I get raw bones to chew on to help clean them but apparently it doesn't do enough. Mom thinks its from a cooked store bought bone grandma gave me for christmas that I was chewing on.

I hope it doesn't happen again because that was NOT fun... when mom came to get me I could barely stand up OR see her... she had to carry my to the car and I just crashed on the seat on the way home... she didn't buckle me in because she was afraid I wouldn't be able to sit comfortably and the vet's only 5 minutes away.

So, wish me luck for a speedy recovery.

Today I showed with mom in Agility and Rally... first, I had to get up REALLY early! 4:45 ICK! Then we drove a little over an hour mom said and sat around for about another hour (why couldn't we have gotten up an HOUR later?!?!) Anyways... so then mom and I go to our ring (Novice Standard Preferred) and she's a TOTAL doofus! Sending me the wrong way and not telling me where to go... grandma told me after our run that she found a shirt for mom... "Where's the handler trade in tent?!" I told Grandma to buy it, she said she'd wait and see if mom got any better!

Well, then we sat around until FIVE PM! But by then mom had her act together and we ran GREAT in Jumpers and Q'd with a PERFECT score AND third place... I was proud of mom... THEN we had Rally and she didn't get me ready for the first exercise very well... I wasn't focused... But then after a few gooberups we did GREAT... I showed everyone how great my heeling and listening skills are! We Q'd in that too! YAY! we got SECOND place out of 25 dogs! mom was HAPPY! Best thing?!?! Another springer beat us... and there were four springers in the class... ALL Q'd!

So, it was a good day... NQ in Standard (I didn't need to trade her in after all!), Q in Jumpers and Q in Rally Novice A... mom says if we Q again tomorrow I get to add RN to my name.. hmm... Madam Bailey Angel CGC TDI RN I like that!

So for now... Madam Bailey Angel CGC 2RN legs, 1 NJP leg and TDI tested!

YAY!

I went to the vet a few days ago! I was all clear and mommy sent in the paperwork! She says I may even get a new collar JUST for visits! I have my obedience/agility collar, my tags collar, and my everyday collar... I don't think I really need another one... and we have an extra... so we'll probably just use the "Tuff" purple one that mommy loves!

I hope things get processed FAST! I'm excited to make people happier!

We passed our TDI test on Saturday. Now we just have to go to the vet and then we are cleared for Hospital visits!

We had lots of fun, but mommy didn't like the evaluator. She passed EVERYONE! And many dogs shouldn't have passed. Mommy said I was perfect. My Loose Leash Walking was PERFECT, everything was great. There were some dogs with their CHOKE CHAINS tightened fully and people hanging on to the CHAIN! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Mommy was so mad!

I told her not to worry, we passed fair and square and I was glad she made sure I was ready for the test.

First rally trial and first Q

Bailey was entered in Rally Novice A at the TCVESSA show last week and she qualified with a 96/100 I was SO proud of her! her heeling was bad, but thats ok... its something we need to work on!

She also met her half sister and I got to talk to quite a few people from the club. It was a great day!
