I'M GOING TO BE OKAY NOW.

Last week my mom went to Saratoga Springs, NY, to the races and to see one of her horses, who is in training there. Anyway......while she was gone, Max, Wren, and I were in our temporary dog digs at our vet's facility. In the middle of our stay, I developed much difficulty with my breathing. The vet called mom, who was at the races at the time, to see if it would be okay to run tests on me to see what was wrong (it was a new vet, so he thought he should ask permission...our regular vet knows to just go ahead)....Anyway, mom 'bout had a panic attack. As it turns out, I have congestive heart failure and my heart is enlarged. I also had fluid in my lungs. They saved me, though, and with my medications, I am like a new dog! I will have to be on the meds from now on, but that's a great thing, you see!! Mom is SOOOOOO happy I am okay now.

THE SPRING THING

It's spring again, and I'm so glad
that the cold is over for this little lad....
My hair is quite short, and since
I'm quite tiny,
When I potty in winter
I freeze my 'lil hiney!
But that all changes
when spring rolls around....
The grass starts to show on
that old, cold ground.
The sunshine warms my
cute little face,
And I can run and frolic
and chase and race!
And as I let fly
my little yellow river,
I love it that I don't
shake and shiver!!!

THE SPRING THING
