Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

March 2nd 2003

FOOD!!! All people, nobody's a stranger.

Not being fed on time! Being left alone outside in the dog run.

Favorite Toy:
Knotted rope and rawhide, tennis balls, sticks.

Favorite Food:
Everything! Especially "cookies". He also loves raw eggs and will eat them complete with shells.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere! "The field" (our pasture). Downtown, especially when there's a lot of people there! Chopper especially loves going swimming, and loves wading in the ditch on our property.

Best Tricks:
Playing dead - "bang", shake, "gimme 5", roll over, stay, lay down.

Arrival Story:
Chopper came to live with us when he was a little puppy. Then he grew and grew and grew...

Chopper has a tendency to get ear infections and sometimes rashes. At first we thought it was corn allergies, but it seems to be something else! So, one of his (many) nicknames is "Stinky". He answers to anything. :)

Secrets out!

Well, it turns out that the secret was my new adopted brother, Rider. I didn't know what to do about him, as I'm usually not allowed to play with new things that come to live here (see my piggie entry).

Everybody is doting on this little brown blob. They still love me, but I am jealous. Rider has all new toys and I am not allowed to play with them. She is convinced that I will tear the stuffing out of them (and she is right ). He has special food too, and since I'm quite fond of food I want to just eat it all up.

He keeps me awake at night, howling and crying because he wants out of his crate, but he is getting better. Mom and Dad finally remembered that if they take food and water away a couple of hours before bedtime, the little ones can last longer before they have to go out to potty.

Speaking of potty, I think I was much faster learning how to potty outside. Rider potties on the carpet all the time, but at least he doesn't poo inside. I wish he'd put his poo piles farther away from the house though!

Rider is fun to play with, but he bites...hard. I am showing him how to do light love nibbles, but he still gets a little wound up sometimes. He's finally stopped trying to nurse from me, thank goodness. I did not like that AT ALL. I am a BOY, not his momma!

All in all, I think I will enjoy my new playmate!

My human mom and dad came home yesterday smelling funny and saying some words to me that I don't understand like "adopted" and "baby brother"...and they're only saying these things when the little girl (my human sister) is gone. I think it's a big secret they're keeping from the girl. They did say something about "next week" whatever they're keeping secret will come out soon!

I did hear the word "puppy" and for some reason that word means something to me...I just can't remember!! I just can't figure out that smell reminds me of something. It's the kind of smell that makes me want to pee on the carpet and chew up shoes again...

Well, I'll let you know what happens "next week". I just know it's going to be great!!

Okay, ordinarily I am MUCH too busy for diaries. But I needed to tell everyone what my humans did to me today! They brought home two piglets and wouldn't let me visit with them! I'm not sure, but I think it might have been because I kept running around singing "mmmm, bacon bacon bacon bacon!" but Mom said it was because the little guys are young and scared. They smell FABULOUS. I can't wait till I can meet them!

So now I have to share my home with a big flock of chickens (they're fun to chase, but Mom doesn't like it so I just run around and eat their poop instead so I can fart all night), a little herd of wee goats, and the bacon (oops, I mean PIGS). I am obviously the most loved though, because I get to live in the human house and lay next to the wood stove and they have to live in the animal buildings outside.

You'll have to excuse me now. The fire's warm, my belly's full, and it's time for me to take a nap!
