Arrival Story:
I have always wanted a Great Dane so when my husband and I decided we were going to get our first dog we wanted to adopt a dog. I found a shelter near our home that had a Dane and we went to see her but she ended up just not being the right dog for us. My husband however fell in love with a RottLab mix that we ended up adopting. About 9 months later I happened to see an ad in our local newspaper that someone had registered danes for sale. I made the comment to my husband, just in passing, about seeing the ad and then 2 days before Christmas he walked in the door holding my beloved Ace and said "Merry Christmas"!

Bio:
At 5 mos. of age Ace developed a disease that causes extra bone growth along the jaw. He was put on several different types of medication to control the pain and swelling. Ace fought for 3 months but the swelling got so bad that it started to cut off his airway and we had to put him to rest. We miss him so much. He was the most lovable and loyal puppy we've ever known.
