 Quick Bio:
Likes: Not being in a shelter

Pet-Peeves: Baths.

Favorite Toy: Our border collie puppy

Favorite Food: Canidae

Favorite Walk: Anywhere

Best Tricks: Being cute!

Arrival Story: We do not know much about Bongo's past. It is shrouded in mystery. He was left in a drop box outside of a shelter in Kentucky. We heard that he needed to be rescued and off we went to get him. We are fostering him for Tennessee Valley Cattle Dog Rescue. We were a little surprised at what we found when we got to the shelter. Bongo is a perfectly wonderful miniature heeler. No, that is not a breed, just Bongo. Bongo weighs in at 31 lbs, but is a little tank. He is short and stout and full of it.

Bio: Bongo is such a great little dog. He is very loving and friendly. He is great with other dogs and cats. His favorite thing is playing with our border collie puppy. He is very gentle and lets her climb all over him. Bongo is quiet and calm in the house. When we eat supper, he quietly lays at our feet and does not beg. At night he lays on a little bed on the floor at the end of the bed and is quiet. He walks great on a leash and is learning sit and down. He is very intellegent and easy to teach. He will make a wonderful companion for someone. He's just a great dog. The funniest thing about Bongo is that he walks like he has no elbows, knees, or neck. He just kind of marches around! It is so cute!!!!

I am finally adopted and living in my very own home. The people here love me very much and take me walking and hiking! I just got back from a 3 day camping trip with my new dad. Check out the pictures of us on my dogster page! He even sent my foster mom a letter telling her about me! Read on:
We just got back from 3 days in the
mountains together in North Carolina. I cannot describe to you how
thankful I am He came into my life. He is such a good dog and we had a
great time walking through the mountains together. He is probably the
sweetest little guy I've ever seen. :) I want to thank you so much for
taking care of him and he truly is loved!!!!!!
I am looking forward to growing old with Bongo.
How's that for a happy ending!
