Arrival Story:
We first came upon Odin in a pet shop in Mississauga on March 10th 2005. That was when we were both ignorant and (imo) stupid and didn't know the evils of pet shops. :( My husband took one look at Odie and said "Awww babe, I love him" and that was pretty much it! =/ But after Odin became a part of our family we both learned (through some great people), that in buying a pet from a pet store we supported a puppy mill or possibly a back yard breeder. We now know that the better route would have been to support our local shelters instead of a sleazy scumbag pet shop owner >:| .

Bio:
Odin has been with us since that first day he crawled into my arms. Yes, crawled. He was a very shy, nervous pup, having been kept in the pet shop for at least a month before we got him. He was the last of his litter, so he saw all of his siblings go away :( I don't know what happened to him there or what happened before he got there, but something sure did scare him. But after a ton of work and lots of love he's adjusted just fine. The only thing he's still afraid of is beer bottles, and we don't know why, he just can't stand to be near one :( After he adjusted to our new little family, Odin was a handful of a puppy! Actually he was quite a handful until very recently and he's just turned 3! We had to keep his busy little brain occupied with tricks and games or else something in the house would get destroyed! Thankfully he grew out of that! (Although he *will* have a little snack on toilet paper from time to time if we don't keep an eye on him ;p) We'd love to know more about where Odin came from. Every now and then I see a dog with those freckles and I wonder if it's a relative of his! Odin is a well travelled dog now! He spend a year and a half in Newfoundland, romping around on the beach and having leash-free fun! We just moved back to the city in May '08, and he's readjusting fine! What a wonder it was to see him walk so well on a leash! There was no need for one for almost two years and the last time he was on one he pulled and pulled and pulled until I thought my arm would fall off!! But now he just walks beside me, calm as can be! It's wonderful :D Anyway, that's about it about Odie!!
