Birthday: August 28th 2003 Likes: TO PLAY! Pet-Peeves: To be alone. Favorite Toy: ANY fuzzy toy that squeaks and some rubber squeaky ones too. Favorite Food: Prefers people food but can't have too much just in case it's bad for her. Favorite Walk: ANYWHERE! As long as there's squirrels and birds! Best Tricks: She'll stand up on her hind legs and hop in the middle of running. Arrival Story: My husband and I have a friend who volunteers at a shelter. She called me one fine day to tell me that she had found the perfect dog for us. I wasn't sure if we were ready for a dog yet, but I went to see her and took her for a walk outside the shelter during my lunch hour. She was very shy at first and would hardly look at me, but I just kept talking to her. I couldn't stop thinking about her all that night and told my husband all about her. I went to see her again the next day and took her to the vet to test her for worms. She rode in the car very calmly and was very patient. She tested negative for heartworms and I was so happy. I called my husband with the good news and nagged him about her all night.Needless to say I got my way and brought her home the next day. I didn't want to wait too long because I knew someone else would come and snatch her up soon! Bio: It took Kelsey about a month to warm up to my husband because she probably had a traumatic experience with a man in her past. Now she is Daddy's baby. We are just crazy about her and she is so happy to be with us. She ALWAYS has a positive and upbeat attitude. She loves her house, her yard and her people. She loves sleeping on the end of the bed at Momma's feet and then snuggling in between both of us in the morning and getting her belly rubbed. We are so lucky to have her! :-) I've Been On Dogster Since:
