Woof!

I've been a busy guy these past few months -- lots of training, no time to type. I've learned new tricks and I'm learning that feet aren't quite so bad. I still wish they wouldn't step on me so often, though. I can't help it if I need to be close to my people at all times!

We're going on vacation next week, and Atticus gets to go too. I hope he doesn't whine too much in the car. I never whine in the car, because I know we always end up somewhere good. It takes a long time sometimes, and I really can't sleep in the car, but it's worth it.

Cat fooooood!

I want the cat food. Why won't they let me have the cat food? It smells so good! I can't believe I can't have the cat food! Please, please, please! I want it so much! I would love it, really. Please, please, can't I have the cat food? I want the cat food! Atticus doesn't even care. He would let me have it! I want the cat food!

Healthy household

My kitten is finally feeling much better, which means he's back to pouncing on me all the time. He plays rough sometimes! My people say "normal" dogs don't have to worry about a kitten playing roughly, but I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. Maybe that kitten should be taken for a walk or something, so he's not so nutty. But I am glad he's feeling better. It's much more fun that way.

New doctor for me!

I think we like my new doctor. I had to go AGAIN because I was so itchy. And guess what my problem was? Nope, not allergies: Fleas! Mean old fleas won't leave me alone, and apparently my medicine doesn't work for as long as it's supposed to. But I'm already feeling a lot better, and I got some tasty vitamins that should help me feel better all around. (Plus they taste quite good. Did I mention how yummy they are?)

The best part was that I got to sniff some tiny baby kittens. They are living at the vet's office because someone abandoned them when they were only a day or so old. They are six weeks now and awfully cute. Mostly they ignored me, but some of them came up to sniff. The littlest one seemed to be afraid of me -- can you imagine that? Kittens are such good toys. Then they grow up like Atticus and pester me all the time. (OK, OK, sometimes I pester him too.)

Long time, no type

I've been a busy pup lately! There has been so much snoozing and pouncing with my kitten (who is getting closer and closer to being a cat!) that I haven't had time to write. I'm happy the weather is getting cooler, because that means I get to take more walks and play outside. I went to the chalk festival yesterday and met all sorts of people and quite a few new dogs -- some who were tinier than my kitten, even! I'm not sure dogs are supposed to be that small. I did not, however, enjoy the thunderstorm yesterday morning. It was way too loud and I had to burrow under the blankets. No fun at all.

Rainy days

It's been rainy here this week, which is nice because it means it isn't too hot and I can go for walks, but I don't like to get wet. And I really don't like thunderstorms. I'm not scared of them, but I have to bark at the thunder, and then my people don't understand and want me to stop barking... Oh, it's so much trouble. But quiet rain is OK as long as I don't have to go out in it. I try to tell my people that I don't need to go out and I can just hold it until the rain is gone, but they make me go out anyway! The nerve.

It's the second one on my page. That's me sort of playing with a ball on our last vacation, but I'm actually backing away from the ball. Balls are a little scary, especially when they are so big. I am a little dog, you know.

About us

We are extra-furry, extra-fuzzy and extra-cute, my kitten and I are. We decided we should make an announcement about that in case everyone didn't know. And our people say we are very good boys. And we're cute.

Feeling better

I'm finally not itching! Yay for me. My mom says I'm still going to get another oatmeal bath, though. Fooey. And she keeps trimming all my knots -- I work hard to scratch those knots into my fur! But I guess I don't mind when they are gone either.

Bath day makes me want to growl.

I got a bath today! Oh, the indignity. Afterwards, of course, I had to run around and around and around, but now I'm drying off and I can rest a little. I've been very itchy lately, which my people think is a problem. They especially don't like it when I'm itchy at night -- for some reason they think it's important to sleep at night, and when I'm scratching I shake the bed and wake them up. I don't know why they can't just nap during the day like I do.
