Leave a bone for Grizzly

Nicknames: Grizzles, Snarla, Rascal, Fuzz Face, Furball, Stinkpot, Sweet Pea, Angel

Quick Bio:
 Birthday: September 21st 1999
Likes: Wrestling, chewing her rawhide, sitting with us on the front lawn

Pet-Peeves: Puppies, any dog that thinks it is cuter than her, when Mommy kisses Grizzly too much

Favorite Toy: "Helen" her stuffed hippo (she thinks it's her "baby")

Favorite Food: Steak, grilled chicken, cheese

Favorite Walk: Lone Mountain Park (lots of new scents to sniff!)

Best Tricks: Ignoring Mom and Dad when it's time to leave the park

Arrival Story: We found her at Petsmart (a local shelter had an adoption day) and adopted her at the age of eight weeks old. We got her on her very first day up for adoption. She was a WILD puppy, attacking Mommy as soon as Daddy left for work. A gentle squirt from a water mister took care of that. Mommy stuck with it, and Grizzly has been wonderful to have. We thank God for her every day.

Bio: Grizzly has been spoiled unbelievably. We love her immensely, and would do anything for her. She had an almost identical sister available when we adopted her, and now wish we could find her. We wish we had adopted her, too.

Wow, I really hit the Doggy Jackpot when I adopted Mommy and Daddy. All I had to do was put on the cute face that I had practiced, and they were
a-goner. Of course, my extra fuzzy puppy fur, and one floppy ear didn't hurt, either. They've been wrapped around my paw ever since. They say they are the lucky ones. I guess we're all lucky in this family.
I'm a good traveler in the car, so I've been to many states, and we go on lots of "in-town" trips...to the park, or special walking trails. The only thing is, my mommy is so scared that I'll get lost, so she never lets me off-leash, which puts a damper on my cat and bunny chasing fun. Oh well, until I can afford my own house, I have to live with her rules. It's really not so bad.
Also, boy do I get good food. Fresh cooked chicken, turkey, cheese, and beef. Good Beggin Strips for dessert. And plenty of rawhide to chew. I used to eat that disgusting canned food. I made faces every time I had to eat it, and finally Mommy and Daddy figured out that all those by-products are not good for my health, or for my tastebuds, so the switch to people food was great! If only they would have gotten a clue sooner.
Now, one thing I could do without is "Bathtime". I'm part Malamute, and we shed dirt naturally, and I keep myself very clean (except for that ONE time when for some crazy reason I rolled around right where some other poor doggie had just thrown up...it was just that once, honest!). Anyway, Mommy thought that deserved a bath. Yuck! I hate to be all wet and scrawny looking. Mommy says I'm cute and she laughs at me. I think she just has fun at my expense.
The only thing I wish for is a brother doggie to wrestle with, and 2 acres of squirrel-stocked backyard somewhere in the midwest or back east. Mommy says the big yard is on her wishlist, too, and maybe that will happen sometime. The brother thing probably won't happen, because I really am a princess, and have gotten used to being the one and only doggie spoiled in this household. Mommy says I can be unpredictable around other dogs. I don't know what that means, but I guess it means another doggie sibling is out of the question. Maybe it has something to do with the growling and chasing that I do when another dog comes my way. Is that where my nickname "Snarla" came from? Maybe.
Well, this has been a long entry. Daddy will probably roll his eyes when he sees this. I'm a girl. What can I say? We females like to talk a lot. But now I'm off for a nice nap on Daddy's side of the bed! Hee hee.
