Ol' Roy Puppy Food

Favorite Walk:
Where the boys walk, she is a follower.

Arrival Story:
A neighbor saw her about a mile from us, on a township road, close to the county road where people run like it is a highway. She started to follow the neighbor, so she called to see if she was one of ours. (She later said "She was so pretty I thought she had to be one of yours.) My son was on his way home from work, he came that way and the pup was still along the side of the road, he picked her up and brought her home. We called everyone close by and my son stopped at those houses that we do not know the people. No one claimed her (he had a picture of her on his phone.) About a month later, a lady stopped to say she was the pup's owner. She had been gone to take care of her dad and he had passed away. When she came home, there was a hole in the fence, two of the dogs escaped, one came home and Daisy did not. She told me she only stopped to let me know what Daisy's given name was: Chloe. When I asked if she wanted her back (praying she would say no) she said no. That the others at her house were not willing to help take care of her. Daisy was given to her grandchildren, when they no longer wanted her they gave her to Grandma. But the lady works away on Asbestos Projects and not able to be there to keep the fence taken care of. She lives with her boyfriend and there are others there; but obviously they are useless. The thing is that my son stopped by there twice, first to ask a man, then a woman, if that was their pup and they both told him no. I told the lady this and she said they would have recognized "Chloe" but they don't want to have to care for her. We made the decision to continue calling Daisy, Daisy because that is what she has become use to us calling her. Why confuse her once again with her old name, and perhaps she likes having a new start all the way around. This lady also thanked us for taking such good care of our pets, that she really appreciated it and that she knew we would take good care of Daisy.

Daisy was about 4 months old when she arrived here. I said she was Collie, my son German Shepherd. We looked up pics of mixed online and she appeared to be Collie/GS. When we took her to the vet, he said her face and legs are German Shepherd (and the girl just keeps getting taller and taller) while her chest and ears are Collie (just adorable). The lady who had her before us said she has coyote in her. Will ask the vet when we have her spayed next week. She was 8 to 10 weeks old when this lady's grandchildren got her, then she came her way for a short period of time.
