Food and Love

Pet-Peeves:
Getting his nails trimmed. I have to dress "for combat" with sleeves and gloves to hold him down so his Dad can do the actual trimming.

Favorite Toy:
His gingerbread man. Poor gingerbread man sustained a serious arm injury and had to have an amputation. Fortunately, grandma was able to perform the surgery. Ginerbread-man lives an active healthy life today.

Favorite Food:
ANYTHING. We are very challenged to restrict his food intake. Any scrap that a human, dog or cat leaves behind he will find and consume. He comes running for the potato peeler-he especially likes it when we clean carrots and he gets some shreads.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere he can "correct" the markings of other dogs. And a creek near our home.

Arrival Story:
Jack's Daddy got him from a co-worker. I was lucky enough to marry Jack's Daddy. We still wonder what in the world would ever make someone want to "get rid" of such a good boy... Their loss, our gain. We love him very much. He is a supreme "Daddy's Boy."

Forums Motto:
I am all that.

Big Attitude:
Jack doesn't realize he is a little dog. He doesn't behave like a little dog, and he will show anyone who is boss. He is a "Rottie" who "got shrunk."

No Fear:
He really is afraid of nothing. Annually on the 4th of July we take him to the fireworks in our area, which is one of the biggest events in the country. He is unfazed. (His sister Grace would be a slobbering, panting stressed-out mess.) He loves all of the people and will only occasionally look at the fireworks if there is no nearby food to eye. Our only concern is his size in the crowds, sometimes I insist on carrying him, but he would much rather lead us.

Thanks dogster for choosing me again. So, I thought I should use this opportunity to express:

Things I’m trying to tell mom & dad that I wish they understood:

“I’m smart enough to do my own walks.”
“Not every pole is as good to pee on.”
“Not all vomit tastes the same.”
“Not all poo tastes the same.”
“It’s ok if you want to lick me back sometimes.”
and finally,
“You’re not spilling enough meat on the floor.”

I just wanted to thank the dogster deity for choosing me as the Diary of the day yesterday.

I had so much fun and even made new pals!

Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate with me!

I'm so excited! My cone is off! My cone is off! For two whole weeks I had to wear that thing. My eye was burn'in, and itch'in and I kept rubbing it but it wouldn't feel better. Mom and Dad kept putting horrible drops in it. The Dr lady said I had a "corneal abrasion." -Whatever that means it wasn't fun. BUT TODAY I'M ALL BETTER! Daddy took me back to the Dr lady and she says no more cone! Yeah! I was a very good boy about it, but it was so annoying to run into everything with it, especially the cats. *hehehe* So happy its GONE!
