Millie Bug Jan 1st. 2000-Oct. 4th, 2009 I love you forever

My sweet Millie has left for the Rainbow Bridge at 3 pm, Sunday, Oct 4th at Med-Vet ER in Columbus Ohio. She was suddenly very sick Sunday morning and we rushed her there at noon. She was critical and in ICU but they were working on finding out what was wrong. Suddenly her heart stopped and they went to intubate and she came back...then again it happened, they had to intubate. I got to see her and she "came too" and the tube was removed. She looked right into my eyes and gave me kisses. I was scared but had hope she would pull thru. 1 hour later it happened again and they could not save her, did CPR for 20 minutes and she was just gone. My heart is broken, I was in shock, I thought she would be in the hospital for a few days and come home to me. My sweet Millie, I miss you so much but I know you had to go, you were too weak to go on. I am grateful I had that last kiss from you. I know you just went to sleep and had no pain, please know I will forever hold you in my heart. 9 and a half years was not enough but I loved you every single day . I know you are happy and free now, and with your big brother Frankie. I will see you again someday...until then, sweet girl, remember how much I love you and you were such a sweet sweet gentle girl. You were a good dog and it was your time, be happy and play and wait for me.

Too dog gone hot!!!

Hi everyone...
man, it is really HOT out there..I just hate it!I only go out when I just can't hold it any longer...mommy said it's coz I am so big and black, (I am)and also so humid out...whatever that is.I like to lay around in the ac. I heard mommy say she worries about all the dogs who have to live outside and don't have good owners, it makes her sad. She made us popsicles, she freezes chicken stock into cubes..yummy!!!! Take care everyone..I'm ready for fall!!!

It's My Birthday!!!!

Hi everyone! Guess what? Today is my birthday and I am 7!!! Yay!!! Mommy and daddy gave me lots of kisses already and booty scratches....:-) I know later we will have snacks and tonight a pie..my favorite..sweet potato! Yummmm....Annie and Libby get some too, but that's ok, I get the biggest piece. I heard the word TOY too...hmmm...it's like Christmas again!Happy New Year everyone...

I saw Santa!

Hi everyone!b Guess what?Mom and dad took us to see Santa last weekend!Me and Annie had seen him last year, so I was not scared at all...but Libby was new to the whole deal, so she was kinda shaky.I told her just be good and sit still, it would be worth it. And it sure was...woo hoo...we got all kinds of good stuff! I saw mommy buying some things and hiding them in her purse too, so I know there is more to come. We had 2 pics taken, I was in 1 alone with Santa, (I think coz I am a big girl) and Annie and Libby were in 1.I heard santa say "ouch", I had stepped on his foot1 Ooops....have a Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Another new sister!

Hi all, well, mom and dad did it again...they went and found another dog...geeez...No, really I love my sister Annie, and I already think I love this new one. She is so little I have to watch where I walk or I could step on her!She is a Beagle and really young, 8 or 9 weeks and just 5 lbs! Can you believe it? My paw is 5 lbs! Her name is Libby and mom said they "rescued" her....which is good coz thats how they got me and Annie. She has a really funny bark, all high and it makes mom and dad laugh.I take her toys but they are really no fun. She tries to take my bones but they are too big. I'll share mine when she is bigger.

Hurry up Spring!

Hi everyone, it's me, Millie. I am soooo ready for spring! This weather is crazy! One day it's warm and sunny...then the next it's snowing! Yuck!I hate going out in the rain. Snow is ok, but I really am excited for warm weather, I like to run around the yard,then lay down on the porch with mommy and daddy. Annie used to hate the rain too, now suddenly she loves it...mommy is not happy. Annie is so white, and she gets really dirty in the mud because she likes to dig....mommy is not happy, (I secretly chuckle)Well, talk to you all soon, come on spring!

It's my Birthday and I'll eat all I want to!

Hey everyone, Millie here....and I am 6 years old!! Woo-hoo...I am a New Years baby, I was born on Jan 1 2000, so that makes me special. (mommy said so) Today me and my sister Annie and mommy and daddy all relaxed and watched football...over and over...hehe..took some naps...and ate and ate! Daddy baked me a pumpkin pie and put 6 candles on it and he and mommy sang happy birthday. Annie didn't sing, she just barked at the shadows from the candles...she's a goof. The pie was yummy..I had 2 pieces! I also got a really yummy bone earlier in the afternoon, and Annie got 1 to, mommy said she didnt want to hurt her feelings. I guess it's ok. Well, gotta go, be back soon!

All about Annie!

Hi everyone,
Boy am I getting tired of hearing all about Annie...blah blah blah..this and that..well, to be fair, it was her 1 year birthday Monday, so she was entitled to the attention. Ane we BOTH had livers on our dinner and pie for dessert..and we BOTH got a new squeaky toy, so all is well.I hid hers when she was sniffing around the new peanut butter treats..hehehe....I know she'll find it, she can sniff out anything! The funniets part of the weekend was when mommy and daddy put this purple sweater on her..haha..she hated it and I was trying to hold back the chuckles so bad...We all went out to the yard and daddy tried to get her to run around in her new swaeter but she just stood there, looking embarrassed. I have to admit I felt kinda sorry for her...she did look dopey.When daddy took the straps off the back legs she ran around,so maybe that was the problem, mommy was cracking up so hard calling it a "thong" whatever that is. I think maybe I might want a sweater, it will be getting cold soon. I heard daddy say Annie is a big girl for a Pittie, 75 lbs, so I must be a spuersize Rottie at 150 lbs...oh no, maybe they don't even make sweaters in my size?I sill love my little sister even though she is a real pain in the booty sometimes.....

Yay, it's the weekend1

Hoi everyone, I am happy it's Friday! I get to see more of mommy and daddy...it's nice outside too, nice and coo. I think we are having my favorite thing tonight too...PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yipeee......I am not supposed to beg, and I don't, (well, ok, sorta) I just stand nearby and kinda whine. I always get a few bites and I just love it. Annie does too, I get mine first of course. I am the big boss....Annie really shouldn't get any pizza tonight, she was so bad this week.geeeez........ate mommy watch!! Shameless. But, I guess when I was young like her I did some crazy stuff too, (not as bad of course)
