Best Tricks: Getting her way, of course! And sit, stay, give me paw - she rolls over on her own! And she likes to lick Mommy's legs although Mommy didn't teach her that !!!!!
Arrival Story: A friend told me about a rescue group, Abandoned Angels. I went on-line & there was Cinnamon (aka Shirley Temple). She was turned in as a stray in Manhattan to Animal Care & Control who transported her to to the rescue, Abandoned Angels. Who would ever abandon this sweet thing??? So we went to the Rescue to meet her. She was so sweet at our initial meeting. To be honest, I was & am still missing my Chloe so much that I played a bit with Cinnamon, walked her & then at the end of our interview told the shelter I had to think about it & would call them at the end of the day. I actually left! On the way home, not even an hour later, I thought "What if someone else adopts her ??? "
So we turned around & went back & now sweet Cinnamon is mine. She is so very sweet & loving & happy to have a home. She is very attached to me & I am loving every minute of it.
We were both so very lucky to find eachother :)
Bio: I don't know too much except that she is a beautiful 3 year old girl.
Whether it's cold and/or dark, I have to walk all around the neighborhood to do my business for the night. Mommy bundles up because she knows where I will go.
Last night, we did our usual "long" walk. I was ready to go & squatted but some idiot driver who didn't know how to park blared his headlights at me as I was going. I got scared & skittish & sprinted. Of course, Mommy had me on the leash & went running with me. My eyes were wide-open & scared. Mommy said, "Cinnamon, what's wrong?"
Then Mommy realized that that was what I was used to when I was on the street - I was avoiding the cars.
Mommy was sad all night for me & hugged & held me close & kissed me all night.
We're together now, thank God & Dawg. And she's STILL hugging & kissing me although it's getting annoying already - BOL!
Don't really know why Mommy had to share this but she did. Sweet dreams :)
