Arrival Story: Meet Tresemme! Tresemme is a lovely three-year old fawn female who has obviously been a mama several times over. She is very relieved to be in rescue where she can be a dog without a care in the world!
Tresemme was rescued from a shelter in South Texas, and is heartworm positive. This pretty girl is otherwise healthy and is ready to be part of a family. Tresemme lives in a home with a furry foster brother and various other dogs often visit her home. Tresemme needs controlled intros because she is very playful. Other dogs are not always sure how to interpret her invitations to play. Tresemme is not a candidate for a home with a cat, but would adore having children to play with.
Tresemme is a high-energy girl who would enjoy going for a long walk or jog on a daily basis. This, in conjuction with training and a structured environment, will help her become a very happy dog. She currently knows commands for “sit” and “stay” and is very treat motivated. She is housebroken and crate-trained. Overall, she has nice manners. Tresemme is working on not jumping up and not counter-surfing. She does enjoy doing things her own way, so her pack leader (humans) will need to be consistent with her.
Tresemme is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle and adores all affection and attention she receives. She would make a great companion for throwing the football in the backyard or having a tea party.
