Arrival Story: Meet Truffles! Truffles is a beautiful 3-5 year old fawn female who is sweet as candy! She has a long tongue that hangs slightly from the right corner of her mouth. She is recovering from cellulitis in her front feet, which has given them a sort of ‘lion-paw’ appearance. She was recently spayed and had one tumor removed upon arriving in rescue. Truffles was rescued at the last minute from Animal Care Services in San Antonio.
Truffles is a happy-go-lucky girl who enjoys the company of other dogs and of children. She does, however, think that smaller animals (cats and squirrels) are great for chasing! She loves playing fetch with tennis balls and various other dogs and can often be found cuddling with her human foster family. She also enjoys wrestling with her foster brother.
Truffles is a well-mannered lady who is house-broken, leash-trained, and who has great recall. She occasionally forgets that she is too large to be a lap dog, but takes verbal corrections well. She is perfectly content to sleep in her crate at night and doesn’t make a peep until her foster parents wake up in the morning. She even allowed them to sleep in every day over spring break!
Truffles is looking for a forever home with skin or furry siblings and parent(s) who love her! Ask to meet this precious girl today!
