Arrival Story:
I was visiting the Littleton Support Center where I used to work. And I was not looking for a small dog to adopt. The manager of the center had a litter of puppies that needed homes. She dropped this tiny little creature in my lap. At 3 weeks and being away from her mother she was very fidgety and frightend. As I wondered what the fate of this little pup might be, I came to the conclusion that I was chosen to be her guardian. So at that moment I guess I could say, she had me at hello.

Bio:
When my son was visiting me he thought she was adorable, and considering her tiny size, (weighing in at 31/2 pounds) her slender nose, and black eyes, he thought she looked like a mouse. He insisted I name her Mouse. The name was very fitting until she started to gain more weight. Today she weighs about 15 pounds. I came to the conclusion that 'The Foxy Mouse' suited her more. I decided to put in a diary entry, but unfortunately when I almost finished it, it disappeared, never to be found again. That was a waste of time, so the profile will be as far as I go on Dogster.

The Foxy Mouse has 4 mixed breeds in her, part chihuahua, part minpin, part american eskimo, and part cocker spaniel. She looks mainly like a chihuahua and a minpin. It has been said that full blooded chihuahuas have a disposition to only socialize with one or 2 owners. This not true of my Foxy, as she loves visitors. When my granddaughter comes to visit, she's all over her. Another reason I named her Foxy was her mouth. It appeared she displayed a constant smirk. And she was often very sneaky in doing things she knew she shoudn't do. I think a sneaky dog is a foxy dog.
