Arrival Story:
I picked up Patches as a 8 week old pup, from a family that had 25 shih tzus in the family as a whole. After another litter, the Shih Tzu family ran out of room, no where to fit anymore shihtzus in the family. Everyone had 2-3 Shihtzus. My mother had a Yorkie who I fell in love with, but I really needed my own dog, so she could have hers back. I did a lot of research and decided a Shih Tzu would be the best choice for the addition to the family. He filled in a lot of gaps the Yorkie left open for our family and also ended up being the best play mate for the Yorkie (the only playmate for the yorkie). Best of all, his tempermant matches exactly what I was looking for. He fits perfectly into my day to day life style, my family just love him. He's just perfect. The Yorkie loves him, the family loves him, he's just a great little pup who knows how to be sweet and get all the love. He's my little wings of love. Very charming. He's the "What do you want to do dog, Whatever is fine with me. You want to take a nap, I take a nap with you. You want to play, I play, You want to run, I'll run with you", you want to sit and watch tv, I cuddle up and watch tv with you. It just doesn't get any better. Very obedient, he thinks it's the greatest thing to show off his obedience too. Sent from heaven, he really makes me proud and I'm one of the happiest dog owner in the world.

When I met him he was a little over 4-lbs, and very friendly. I spent two hours watching this happily playful pup hop around and play. When I settled down I sat on the floor to see if he was even interested in me. He grabbed his ball and hopped over to the breeder, she threw it and he fetched it, then he came straight to me with it, I threw it and he fetched it. He continued to do this between the both of us as we talked. He later came over and sat in my lap. He seemed so happy, as if he didn't have a care in the world. I thought how great, we had a Yorkie in the family but the Yorkie had his favorites, when I was around the Yorkie would only play with me and no one else, so I thought this pup is already sharing his play time he would make a great addition to the family. Patches mother was 12 pounds and his father was 16. Patches is 15 pounds full grown. The Yorkie didn't seem to mind him, I took our Yorkie with me. I felt bad because I thought the Yorkie would share the car seat I bought him. No way, the Yorkie was not sharing the car seat. So I had to put my litte pup in a carrier and put him in the back on the floor. He screamed all the way home. I was flying home, I felt so bad. Luckily I only lived 15 min away. He was ok after I arrived home with him. As I opened the door to let him in, my family was there and they greeted him with lots of gifts and he had a big home coming. All you could see on his face was "Gifts for me" and a big smile. He was perfect, he was bunny hopping from family member to family member giving them equal time. Even with all of the attention from my family members, I remained his favorite. When he became tired he came back to me and curled up in my lap and fell a sleep. He ended up sleeping in bed that night. He started off on the right foot, every morning and every night. He would give my husband some kisses before settling down in my arms every night. When we woke up in the morning, we'd both get kisses from him and then he would stretch ready to begin his day. It was the funniest thing.
