Playing fetch with anything she picks up, sleeping in daddy's lap, annoying the kitty
She hates when you kiss her nose making a kissing noise. When she gets annoyed she puts her nose straight upon the air and refuses to look at you.
A giant stuffed puppy twice her size.
Vitality duck and sweet potato
She loves running around the driving range chasing her ball. She really doesn't like going for walks.
Dancing on her back paws and stealing golf balls from the tee.
Austin Belle is our Cavachon ( Bichon and Cav King Charles mix mutt). She is now seven months old and 13 pounds. We bought her home at eight weeks and 4.4 pounds. She is our "healing heart" dog.
We lost our German Shepherd Rommell the beginning of July last summer. Oddly enough Austin was born two days before Rommell made the trip to Rainbow Bridge. Needless to say we were devastated by our loss and at first refused to think about a new puppy. We were mourning as was Tequila our seven year old cat. He and Rommell were fur brothers and best friends, they spent all their time together. As the days passed I was missing having a dog in the house. Both my husband and I are disabled and have been since 2000. I think that is one of the reasons our bond with Rommell was so strong....we got his several months before the accident.
Anyway, my husband slowly became receptive to a new puppy with certain stipulations. Smaller than a GSD, low or no shed and something that would play with our 2 and 6 year old God-daughters. I began researching as I had never had a small dog. I found Miss Austin online living in NH....about 1 1/2 hours from home.....actually, we went to look at a Bichonpoo but he would have nothing to do with us. The breeder brought Austin out to encourage the other puppy to play and she jumped into my lap then tried to climb my husbands leg....it was love at first cuddle.
She has made us laugh since then with her antics, she loves to play fetch, play tug, run around the yard and play with Tequila. She also loves to snuggle and sleep with us between our pillows or cuddled next to us. Housebreaking was a challenge but now she's almost 100% there. Even when she's bad we cannot stay mad at her because she just looks at us with her big eyes and smiles.
She's been a gift to us.....we still remember our sweet boy Rommell and still tear up with certain memories but Austin has helped heal our hearts. I always say, Rommell sent her to take care of us since he had to go.
