maddie and i got together on june 10, 2012. she is my second german shepherd but my first puppy. i had an all black german shepherd, also named maddie, who i was lucky enough to come across at the local spca when she was two years old. "first maddie" died in may 2012 of bone cancer at the age of ten. i knew that life with a german shepherd was something that gave me a lot of positive energy so i found an nc breeder of german shepherds and fell in love with nine week old "current maddie".
maddie's personality is playful and affectionate but she can be protective. she loves meeting new people in general, though. she is finding her place in the dog world, sometimes copping a little attitude and sometimes wanting to do nothing more than play. it seems dependent on the individual dog she may meet. she's always a goofball with dogs smaller than her and can try to assert some dominance around dogs her size or bigger.
she is a very energetic creature but when she crashes she likes to snuggle up close like spoons and be cozy.
loves: ice cubes, bully sticks, cheddar cheese, blueberries, tuna, branches, fireplaces, toilet paper.
