Arrival Story:
Hazel is what I would like to call a happy accident. Her Mom and Dad were living in a not so nice home, with an owner who wanted to breed them. Her Mother (Peanut) was just a puppy but her Dad (Chico) was older ( not sure exactly, maybe 7-9 years old?) They would keep Chico tied up in the house constantly, but when Peanut chewed on their table he got tied to the dumpster in the garage, along with Peanut.
My Mom took them both away, we were not sure exactly how old Peanut was, just that she was still a puppy. Well a couple months went by and we found a home for Chico, but before long we noticed that Peanut was looking pregnant. Then a couple months later Hazel and her 3 siblings were born :). All of them have great homes now, and my Mom decided to keep Peanut.

Hazel's full name is Hazelnut. We wanted to keep the "nut" theme going because her Mother's name is Peanut.
