I'm Getting A Second Chance

I'm ready to graduate rehabilitation

My dog rehab trainer, Angelo, told Mom Pam that I'm ready to graduate from his facility and go to my foster mom and dad, Gen and Jim. I haven't met Jim yet but will today and I'm so excited.

Angelo has been kind and patient with me. I've learned to trust and play. I've learned having structure and limits is a good thing. He hasn't had to correct my behavior one time the past three days.

My rehab will continue for 6-8 months in Gen and Jim's loving care. Gen is already smitten with me and I trust her enough to fall asleep in her lap. I just hope I can be a good girl with Jim today so he wants me as much as Gen does. Mom Pam knows them well and told me that Jim is a kindly, soft-spoken old man who is an experienced dog owner like his wife, Gen.

Bichon Rescue Brigade sent a Going Home package to Mom Pam. There is a blankie and pillow, a food dish, a little toy that I'll have to wait to receive until I'm no longer toy aggressive, and a bootiful pink collar and leash with a BRB tag already attached so I can never get lost again.

Angelo told Gen that if she is consistent and structured with me for 6-8 more months that I'm going to be "one terrific little dog."

Me! I just know I can do it with their help - and Mom Pam, too. She'll be only two blocks away.

Light at the end of the tunnel licks!
