Nicknames: Austin Boxer Rescue

Arrival Story: Meet Glennis! Glennis is a strikingly beautiful petite female Boxer with a deep red and white coat. She was rescued from a kill shelter in the Rio Grande Valley, where she had been picked up as a stray. Glennis is currently heartworm positive, but will be treated by ABR.
Glennis loves humans, children in particular. Glennis would prefer to be an only pet in her home, and has a high prey drive. Her foster mom describes her as a homebody who also does well in public. Glennis has very nice manners and takes direction well from anyone she views as the leader. She is housebroken and crate-trained and is currently learning to walk on a leash.
Glennis is a great babysitter for her skin foster siblings. She makes the rounds in the house to check on the children and adults alike. She enjoys playing with her seven year old human foster brother, but is ready for a nap before he is. She enjoys toys, and plays a game her foster family likes to call “Fetch – Sort of.” They throw the toy for her, and she retrieves it, but forgets to bring it back in her excitement to play with whatever was thrown!
Glennis would make a great companion dog for a family wanting the complete package – a playmate, partner, and snuggler. With a very strong human leader, Glennis could live as part of a pack, but she would prefer to be the only spoiled baby in her family. Ask to meet this lovely girl today!
