Arrival Story:
This handsome guy was recently saved from a high kill shelter and just loves life and his people and since coming into foster care has been a wonderful addition to the pack and household. He's only had a couple housetraining accidents during the first couple days when we didn't know his "signals. He has not chewed anything inappropriate, he loves playing with the resident dogs, with several different types of toys, and acts like an overgrown puppy at times. He loves people and affection and will nudge us with his head for more petting if he thinks we haven’t given him enough. Since he hasn’t been a part of a real family until now, he doesn’t know much in the way of any obedience commands or walk well very on a leash but he has a strong desire to please and with a little time and patience, we’re sure he’ll catch on quickly. He's already learned to Sit and has learned the basic rules of his foster household in just a short time.
Wendall is about 55 lb and could still stand to gain a few more. He’s been neutered and is up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Our best guess is that he's a mix of greyhound (maybe whippet?) and pointer. Whatever mixture of breeds he might be, we do know that he's a sweet, loving, fun boy who will be a wonderful addition for a family seeking the same!
