Nicknames: Austin Boxer Rescue Arrival Story: Sansa is a lovely female fawn boxer with a black mask. This petite girl was found starving in Galveston and was rescued by ABR. She is currently in a loving foster home where she has filled out and found her happy boxer spirit!
Sansa's foster family says that she loves to play but that after she's had sufficient activity she will sleep the day away. Her favorite games are chase and tug of war! She gets very happy and excited when people come home from work and is very affectionate with her foster family. Sansa is almost entirely housebroken but has had a couple accidents when left over five hours so her foster home is working on that. She walks nicely on a leash and overall is very well behaved. We have not tested Sansa with cats but we know that she gets along well with other dogs. She likes children but because she hasn't mastered "no jumping" yet she's probably best suited to a home with kids 5 and older unless it's a family that is willing to work diligently with her on not jumping on the little ones. She takes correction very easily so we think she will be very responsive to training.
Sansa will be spayed very soon and will be treated for heartworms after she is adopted (the treatment is paid for by ABR). Come meet sweet Sansa and see if she's your perfect match!
