Arrival Story:
Being a child and wanting a dog never came true. After 15+ years of growing up around dogs, but never owning them, I finally was able to pick my pup. We purchased Mattie from a pet store (now, being more knowledgeable, I won't do the pet store thing again). She was a lenky thing with a "bicycle seat" head. Her tail looked like a rope attached to her bottom. We fell in love and took her home.

Bio:
Contrary to Sheltie traits, Mattie isn't a excessive barker and isn't overly shy like many shelties are. Mattie is of an intelligent breed, but sometimes too intelligent. She has tattle-tailed on puppy's when they make 'messes' on the carpet, she throws temper tantrums, and she knows more words in human than some toddlers do. She's also very emotionally expressive for a dog. We love her!

Forums Motto:
Mattie-

Dog-Cat Relationship:
We brought home a cat, 7 months old. Mattie was confused, but not agressive or scared. Mostly, Mattie was unsure of this feline and what his motives were. She didn't know whether she was going to be swatted or hissed at. Victor, the kitty, did neither. He rubbed against her like she was his long lost litter mate. They've become quite comfortable with each other, so far so good!

My mom has been clicking this box at me for the last few days! Bright lights blinking in my eyes, I swear- I can't see a thing after a while. Eventually I just conk right out, at least it saves my eyes. She calls it a dejitle kamra. She says there will be new pictures of me up on the screen soon! Until later- ruff!

They keep bringing those immature pups to my house. I keep thinking they'll go away, but they don't. I have to teach them the ways of my territory. I was trained that outside is where I should poop- rain or shine. There shall be no pooping in my home- so each time another youth canine relieves herself in my house, I tell their master. I have done it five times now, and Don't think I won't tell again. Beware, you pups out there will be spending quality time behind your crate bars if you poop in my house. woof! woof! I'm telling!

Gotta Chase Them Away!

I don't care for cats, I don't bark at birds, planes don't bother me none, but wheels- oh, all those wheels. They invade my territory and they move really fast. Humans ride on all sorts of wheels. My owner has wheels that stick to her feet, and it's my job to get them off. I'm alright riding on the wheels when we go to my stores, but I don't like them flying past me. I yell at them and chase them away. But today, this morning- I got to really chase one, a big one. I didn't hear my mom when she said "NO!". I took off. I made the big "van" stop in the middle of the street. My mom was running and shouting my name, I came back to her- like I always do. But she wasn't proud of me for stopping the wheels. I had to go inside, really fast. I stayed out of her way for a little while. She forgave me after she came back home from driving her wheels around all day (cause that what she does all day). She said we where going to do some training. That means: treats & toys!!
