Arrival Story:
There was a neighborhood Facebook page posting about a lost husky. I volunteered to hold until the owner was found, if the lost husky was caught. He ended up in the backyard of someone who couldn't keep him, but mentioned that it looked like he'd been shaved. There is another husky in the neighborhood that is shaved, so I figured the owner would be easy to find. When I went to pick him up, NOT the same dog, but took him anyway. How could I not?

Bio:
When my vet checked his chip the next day, I learned his owner had not registered the chip, but it was traceable to the shelter he'd been adopted from only two months before. From the shelter page, I was able to contact the foster he had before he was adopted. When I learned that Teeko was NOT shaved when adopted, that he was healthy and at a good weight, I knew then and there he would not be going back to the prior adopter. Aside from having been shaved in the winter, his chip had been scanned multiple times, and he was down 13-14 pounds from when he was fostered. The hookworms were probably part of that. He should weigh around 60 pounds like Ace does, but weighed in at 46. Originally keeping him to get him healthy and fur grown back and adoptable changed. He's a forever dog now.
