I'm not sure if anyone is still active on this site anymore - but if you are, hello and I hope you're doing well!
Go-Go is doing great. He had his second birthday last month. He's grown into a wonderful dog. VERY high energy, but still a sweet cuddlebug. :)
We attended our first dog show over the weekend, the ADBA Nationals in New Jersey. G-Go being a mutt, we could only enter the fun classes - had a good time anyway, it was a great experience. We entered the fun wall climb, treadmill race, tried out lure coursing and entered the Judge's Choice class. Go-Go climbed 8ft 8in up the wall! He made me very proud :)
Sasha, my sister's basset hound, crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night. She had been hospitalized for a few days, very sick with pancreatitis and gallbladder disease. Unfortunately there was nothing more they could do to help her.
We brought her home, took her for a walk at the river with all our dogs, then later in the night a veterinarian came out to the house and with her owners, myself and our parents giving her lots of love, we said our goodbyes.
Sasha was best friends with my dog, Khloe. She was never fully the same after he passed away. Diego and Sasha had a... certain sort of relationship. Diego loved her, Sasha would sometimes put up with him. She was a very sweet dog, who loved eat and sniff and sunbathe and to sleep under blankets and get butt rubbings and nudge you with her long basset nose if she didn't think she was getting enough attention.
Rest in peace, sweet girl.
But she did!"
