Go Diego Go!

Diego finished his first obedience class April 23rd. He did great! The teacher was very encouraging and wants us to continue on, she thinks he would make a good competition dog. :) In other news, he went swimming today! I am so proud of him, he went out in the river all on his own and had a great time doing it. Only one bad thing: he kept bringing me back fish instead of the balls and sticks I was throwing for him! Eww!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Diego is doing great! He had to be treated for giardia, but he had since been retested and is now all clear and healthy! :) As of his last vet visit, he weighs 48 pounds. We started puppy class last week, he's doing good so far. We're working on teaching him not to jump on everyone, haha. At home he's been learning to play with Kail's old treat toys and kongs. He's fallen in love with what used to be Kail's favorite toy (minus the treat toys ... Food was always her favorite!), her flirt pole!

Vet visit

He's healthy! The vet believes he's around 4 and a half months old, and he's already 35 pounds. We got him started on his vaccinations and are to go back in in a month for the next round. He was such a good boy in the waiting room, he really wanted to say hi to the other dogs, but was starting to get the idea that I wanted him to sit down and ignore them.

Then we got into the actual exam room, and oh my gosh, all he wanted to do was hump the poor vet assistant's leg! He's tried it with my Mom's dog, Bailey, and my sister's dog, Lucky, and they've told him off every time he's tried, but I've never seen him try humping a person! We've got about another month or so before they want to neuter him. Ohh boy, haha.

Haven't done much today except hang around the house, as it's only been about 10 degrees outside all day. He's been playing with Bailey or napping. He tolerated me brushing his teeth pretty well, and was okay with me putting a head collar on him for a second. He's a good boy. :)
