FOOD! She has a couple of toys that she shares with Luc and occaisionally she will pick up the cheesburger.
Favorite Food:
Cheese. She will wait very patiently for a nibble of anything we eat.
Favorite Walk:
Anywhere, she likes Fashion Island in Newport Beach. She receives alot of attention and is definately not shy to ask for it.
Best Tricks:
She spins on her back legs and sneaks food into her kennel for the night or stashes food wherever she can...You can ALWAYS find kibble throughout the house, under the couch, between the cushions, in a shoe, wherever you can imagine...kibble is found.
Arrival Story:
I went to adopt her from a friends mother about 8 yrs ago, (she was now raising Chinese Crested and was looking for a loving home for her two IG's). Well, of course Luc needed doggie siblings, the cats were just not doing it for him. When I went to pick her up there she was along side Divot. I just could not tear them apart so I asked if I could take Divot as well. One hour later they were in my home with Luc and the cats, that's when I realized that I quickly needed a bigger home. I stopped, looked around and said "I need to move now". So we packed up and got a bigger home...I love them!!!!
Bio:
Upon adoption, everyone was unaware of her pregnancy, of 5 half I.G. and half Chinese Crested puppies. No one knew she was pregnant, I thought she was chubby.
I suddenly had 7 dogs. Yikes!!! The Puppies found homes and some are even therapy dogs! They are part Chinese Crested, part Italian Greyhound. What a combo. My little Duff Duff, I love her SOOOO much. She is just such a sweet girl.
Duffer left us on January 6, 2006. She developed a tumor that spread so fast, it was like like tentacles over her little chest and under her arm. She saw two vets and they both said that it was so big that they would never be able to remove all of it. It started to constrict her breathing and she lost so much weight. The poor little sweetie was struggling. I miss her, Divot keeps looking for her. I know that she is no longer in pain and she can breathe easier. I know that one day I will be with her.
