Good grief! We've had Pep for 3 years and no diary updates. Peppy lost his buddy Kasey last year and now Shadow two days ago. He seems to be a bit depressed now. It doesn't help that Cooper bullies him. Otherwise, not much has changed for Pep. His only real fault is his crazy barking at certain things that set him off. We're having a trainer come in next month to help us with his and Coopers crazy barking.

Pep never was much on playing. We could not ever get him to play outside. He'd only fetch a ball when playing indoors and then infrequently. Now that he's getting up there in years and with Cooper demanding all the attention, poor Pep mostly lays around. At least he gets his exercise when running to the edge of the grass when SUVs or trucks drive by. For some reason he doesn't run after cars.

Hold the phone, Peppy isn't going anywhere. We got an adoption app last week, but the wife said he's staying put. I wanted at least a complete Vet check which he passed with flying colors. He'll now be part of our permanent crew.

Just about as soon as he meets you, Peppy considers you his best friend. In no time at all he's rubbing up against you for attention. Although he's big for a Sheltie at 40 lbs, that doesn't stop him from wanting to get on your lap, at least with his front legs. He'll follow you around and doesn't like being left behind, but soon settles down after you leave. He's not much on toys, we've only found two that he likes. A big rubber ball he bounces back to thos who throw it to him and a baby's ball with flashing LEDs. He also likes to chase after a laser light. He knows if you have the laser in your hand and just waits for you to turn it on. Outside he prefers to patrol the perimeter of the yard and will come right back when called. All groomed and handsome, he's ready for his furever home. To adopt, please apply here: http://ncsr-md.org/
