Arrival Story:
Isa was dumped in Cleveland County Animal Shelter's drop box overnight. Scared to death, Isa wouldn't let shelter employees near her and they decided catching her in a net was the best option. Once in the kennel, she huddled herself in a corner and refused to move, nor would she let anybody come close. Isa's photos were posted on Facebook and broke the hearts of many. After a few days, a rescuer went to meet Isa - what she saw was a dog completely frightened and needing time, patience, and love. Isa was pulled shortly after by Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association.

Bio:
Since leaving Cleveland County, Isa is a different dog. She is a GEM! This girl is a true love bug and devoted companion that anyone would be lucky to have as part of your life. If you're a one-dog person looking for a dog who will only have eyes for YOU, then Isa is it! She is loving and affectionate, a true velcro dog. Isa loves to play fetch and cuddle, and her energy level is just right. When she gets excited, she does this really cute bounce/happy dance that will always make you smile! And you'll know she loves you when you get the cattle dog nibble - it's the sweetest thing! Isa has this silly side that shows itself when she's outside (she loves being outside) - she does this back scratch/roll over move in the grass, gets super excited, and then does zoomies around the yard. Or when it's rained, she likes to play in the puddles; yeah, she's that dog that will stick her face in the water; it's hilarious! She is a little hesitant when meeting new people but once she warms up, look out! Because she'll have captured your heart forever! Isa would prefer a home where she can be the only dog getting your affection and attention. She's also a ladies' dog, and will most likely velcro herself to the woman of the house. She would be fine with older, considerate children but needs a quiet and calm household that is filled with love and caring. Isa seems to do fine with cats. She does not resource guard and will let you take a ball from her mouth or food from her bowl. She responds quickly to correction and is working on basic obedience. Isa is house trained and walks wonderfully on a leash - because she always wants to be right by your side.
