Hiding his face
We purchased Tobey from an AKC breeder in Suttons Bay, Michigan named Barbara Miller. If anyone has any contact information regarding her, we would be grateful. We are trying to locate her as Tobey passed away a month ago and we would like to get another yorkie.
We liked to call Tobey our mutant Yorkie. Even though he was a purebred dog, he was much larger than a normal Yorkie. He weighed about 24 lbs. He was not obese either. He was just a larger sized dog. He also had floppy ears and coloring a bit similar to a Silky too. He was such a huge part of our family. With his recent passing, it feels like a family member has died. We have lost other pets in the past, but this one has definitely been the hardest loss. Tobey was super playful. He loved hopping through the snow, fetching his tennis ball, ripping apart multiple teddy bears...I could go on and on. He especially loved opening presents. He would get so excited and tear into them. Most of the time he was more excited to open the present than actually play with what was inside. He always knew when it was about to be 6pm. That meant Dad was coming home and be would race to the front window and rest his head on the sill until my Dad's car would pull in the driveway. As soon as the garage opened, Tobey would do his happy dance and get so excited for my Dad to come in the door. They would immediately play ball and then go on a walk. If you can't tell already-my Dad and Tobey were best friends. They did everything together. Tobey followed my Dad everywhere. Sometimes my Dad would head over to his office to work on charts in the middle of the night and Tobey would insist on going with him to just sit on his feet while he worked. He thought he was a big and bad scary dog too if anyone rang the doorbell. If you were the UPS man especially-Tobey barked his head off till the truck was gone. I could share so many stories about our Tobey. It is really hard to have lost him. He got so sick and so suddenly. The house is silent now and my Dad will never be the same. We are desperately in search of either the breeder we got Tobey from or someone who sells yorkies that are similar to Tobey. In northern Michigan, it seems there are larger yorkies. We really don't want a teacup yorkie or a tiny yorkie. Our mutant large Yorkie was perfect. Floppy ears and all-so if anyone can help us out, we would be so appreciative. We can never replace Tobey, but we are ready to bring in another puppy to love and add to the family.
