Arrival Story:
One day, as I was walking my dog Angel, we were about 2 blocks from my home. When we got to a corner, a little white puppy ran up to my dog wanting to play. Being an older dog, Angel didn't really like to play but she seemed to tolerate this little guy. I looked up and about 100 yards down the block was a woman with a bigger dog standing there just looking at us. I looked back down and decided Angel had been patient enough, but when I looked back up, the woman and her dog were gone! I took the leash off Angel (she didn't really need a leash) and looped it around the little guy's neck. Then we walked down to where the woman was and stood there for about 10 minutes. Finally she came out and asked if that was my dog. No, I replied, I thought it was your dog. She said no and that it had just come running up to her and her dog that morning. We posted fliers all around town, put one in the binder at our local shelter, posted on 3 different animal lost/found sites, took him to a local vet to see if he was chipped (he was not). His pads were torn so we put little socks on him. He was (and is) so cute.

When I brought him home, my husband said there was no way we were keeping him. That we needed to start finding his owners and if that didn't work, then a good home for him. I wanted to keep him (I want to keep every dog we find). When I asked my husband why he didn't want to keep him he said because he didn't want to be third in line for my affection. lol! Well, we tried and tried to find his owners, but no luck. We did have two people that wanted to adopt him but ended up agreeing that we were the best home for him. We first named him Boo Boo because he reminded me of Yogi Bear's companion. But one morning, after my husband had chased him down the street in his pajamas yelling "Boo Boo, Boo Boo", he came back and said, "That's it. We have to come up with a new name."
