Arrival Story:
Sammy was originally given to an elderly woman, from there she has bounced back and forth between different homes. She spent the last 7 - 9 months of her life tied up in a small area of a kitchen. The dog that lived with her had already been given to animal control for physical health problems related to spending time in their own filth. I agreed to take Sammy in so she did not wind up another overlooked black dog at the local animal control facility, and so the elderly woman did not have to worry about the dog she had been given being euthanized.
