Nicknames: Austin Boxer Rescue Arrival Story: Rossi is a real charmer who is full of love and energy. He will sit, lay down and come on command. He sleeps through the night in his crate with no problems and is completely house trained. He will ask to go out. He is very happy to see you when you come home but doesn't jump to greet you. He will take treats gently from your hand. He is a chow hound and never met a meal he didn't enjoy. He shows no food aggression and doesn't beg.
He enjoys playing with his foster sisters and parents very much. He will come up onto furniture or your lap when invited and loves being snuggled. Be careful what you ask for though because he has no idea just how big he is! He's an extra large lap dog and an enthusiastic but sloppy kisser. He drools like crazy sometimes but you just can't help loving this friendly guy.
He is very comfortable around new people. He's curious and easy going. He is a little too interested in cats and would probably do best in a feline free home. He does love having dog friends though. He is great with school aged children and really wants to be a part of the gang. He is fond of his plush blanket, peanut butter dog treats and a good rope toy. He still needs more leash training as he doesn't really know his strength but he loves a good long walk.
Some dogs wear their heart on their sleeve but Rossi has his proudly displayed on his chest (even if it IS upside down). His flashy fawn coat is soft and he has a beautiful distinctive stripe down his nose to emphasize his big brown eyes.
Thank you Mark and Rebecca Powell for virtually fostering Rossi!
