Arrival Story:
I got a call from a Vet here in town saying they have a beautiful black/tan Dachshund who needs a forever home. Do I have room for her. She was brought in to them saying she hated this dog and get rid of her. She wanted this beautiful little girl PTS. I can't even spell it out. They told her that they thought they knew someone who would take her. When I told them I would come for her, the woman told them to take care of her teeth. So they told me to come for her at 3pm. The woman called me to make sure I was taking her and told me she would meet me at the Vet. To be honest, I didn't want to meet or even see her but I met her. When they told her about the amount of the teeth work we all thought this woman was waiting for me to pay the bill but she finally took out her check book and reluctantly paid it. Scooter took right over cleaning and grooming her. She ran from all of us and we just let her come to us. I would go to pet her and she would run. She has only been here two days and OMD she is now letting Scooter groom and clean her. She snuggles with her and she is beginning to trust me. She has never had a forever home. She had been passed from one family member to another and she made the circle three times. She will never be passed again. She now has her forever home with me and The Brewster Crew. What a smart little girl. Two days with us and she goes in and out the doggy door like she was born to it and she had never been around a doggy door.
