Arrival Story:
Ginger is a rescue dog. She was abused as a puppy..Her breeder tried to train her as a fighting dog at a young age. He beat her and broke her hip. A truck driver saved her life, as he saw this going on while he was driving past the breeder's house. He took Ginger, and she spent the first year of her life in a semi-truck and hotel rooms that her owner had to sneak her into.
My mother was in a relationship with the truck driver who saved Ginger, and when they split up,he left her with us. He loved Ginger very much, but he wanted her to be in a loving home with us, instead of in a truck.
However, in her year of truck driving, she got to see 48 states. The damage of her hip injury never completely faded away..She still limps from time to time, on her bad days. But other than that, we live a very full and happy life together as a proud Boxer family. :)
