Arrival Story:
Sheila spent the first half of her puppyhood in a small apartment. One day she fell down and couldn't get back up. The vets never figured out why, but she recovered fully. But, her owners were not willing to pay the vet bill and just abandoned her there. I work there and I couldn't stand to see this beautiful girl homeless. She needed somebody to care for her! I remember the day they brought her limp little body in. I saw what a recovery she had made and knew she was a special dog. I had actually lost my Great Dane three months before meeting Sheila. I love large dogs. I couldn't help but adopt her. She is now a part of my family. Sheila is my four legged daughter!
