Arrival Story:
We got Toki from a breeder out of state when he was 4.5 months old. She had been sick and in the hospital, so he and his brothers got a little older than normal before they found homes.
Bio:
Toki did not have much socialization as a puppy and is quite skittish. We've been working on him for the last 7 months and he's gotten a little bit better, but has developed a dislike for my husband, barking and growling when he comes home from work or moves around the house. (He's never bitten)
If he gets some good behavioral training and obedience training, he will be a great dog! Because of his problem with my husband and due to the fact that my husband is Air Force, so not available to do the training *with* Toki, our only option is to rehome him.
He is GREAT with other dogs and loves to play with our kitten. He does not chase animals of any kind.
Kids are fine, as long as they don't chase him down and scare him. He has never snapped at my baby sister or nephews (aged 4, 3, 1). He just goes to his crate.
He is partially trained on leash, fully trained to a crate, learning simple commands like sit and stay. He hasn't mastered coming when called, due to skittishness.
He needs a home with room to run, someone home almost all the time, other pets to play with, and someone with time to do training.
