Arrival Story:
It was a cold day in January '01 and I sat in a room full of Susquehanna Service Dog trainers and volunteers. Winston was the third dog I met and he instantly connected with me. Picking up his leash he trotted across the room and stretched over my knees to hand it to me. The second I had his leash his big brown eyes sparkled up at me as if to say "what else can I do for you?!"
Bio:
In his own words..."I am a mere five year old English Yella Labrador Retriever that was bred by Susquehanna Service Dogs finest, Betsy the Midwoof. One’s 7 littah mates aaare all working currently in one service field or anuhthah. One was raised by ah kind lovely gal named Laurah and hah family. I've always loved teah and crumpets and baaarking but one’s real passiohn is working. One is happiest when I can be of service to me mum or anyone else that requires me! I'd manuscript all of the bloomin’ foohds that one loves, but it's much easiah to manuscript the one and only food one dane’t fancy - Lemons. One try, hairlairh hairlairh haaard to fancy them...but one fie can't swalla them daahhhn. One try haaard to be patient and calm and raaarely can one not control one’s self. Me favorite kind of pup is wahn that likes ter ran and share ah toy, one hairlairh dane’t fancy those mangey mutts that bite and horse pleay, loike ‘arley me Great Dane/mix step bruhthah. Sometime's one sweaaar he acts fancy ah wild wolf wif nah mannors at aw. Don’t ye reckon?"
